Gettin' in the groove

We are slowly getting in the groove now that our lives are back in a routine. The kids and I enjoyed scheming ways to "welcome Daddy home" and decided on the idea of having balloons all over the floor (where he would enter) and having a "welcome home" sign.

I took these pictures of them with their creation right before they went to bed. Being a school night they couldn't wait up on his arrival. Sorry for the poor quality - taken with my phone (Kris took our camera with him).


The more we talked about it the plans grew a little :) Wes got his class in on the excitement - having them sign the poster! It was cute...his friends had drawn little pictures and signed their names. He even added names of cousins and other relatives that he knew would want to sign the poster if they were here!


We have tackled the laundry and made a big grocery run. We have looked at pictures and listened to stories. And we have learned to play Chinese Checkers. Real life...here we come!
